This post brought to you by Boar’s Head. All opinions are 100% mine.

I recently had the good fortune to try two certified heart-healthy deli meats via Boar's Head. I tried both the EverRoast Oven Roasted Chicken Breast and the Ovengold Roasted Breast of Turkey. The turkey is preservative free, low in fat and rich in protein.  The chicken is seasoned with carrots, celery, onions, garlic and parsley. Each is yummy. However my favorite is definitely the turkey.

I enjoyed my turkey on a sandwich piled high with lettuce and tomato and my chicken in a tomato wrap with some yellow peppers and taco seasoning.

If you enjoy cooking you can make the Ovengold Turkey Spaghetti Squash Tumble, which is just one of Boar's Head's Good-for-your-heart recipes. One serving is comprised of 2.5 oz of Ovengold Roasted Breast of Turkey, 1/2 of a small spaghetti squash, 1/2 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 of a large garlic clove (crushed), 1 tbsp fresh basil (chopped), 1/2 tbsp fresh parsely (chopped), 1/2 cup of defrosted peas, 1/2 cup of diced tomatoes and a bit of Boar's Head Parmigiano-Reggiano. This delicious meal is only 305 calories per serving.

Directions (for one serving)
Cut the squash in half lengthwise, then cut each half into equal pieces.
Put the squash i a steamer basket in anoven with water and cook on high to steam until tender (about 15-20 minutes).
Remove the squash strands from the shell, using a fork, and then set them aside.
Heat the oil in a medium non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add the basil, garlic, parsley and squash and toss lightly to coat.
Add the tomatoes, peas and turkey. Then sprinkle the whole entree lightling with the grated Parmesan cheese.

Boar's Head heart-healthy deli meats can really help you focus on a balanced, heart healthy diet. This is because Boar's Head's certified heart-healthy deli meats are low in fat, saturated fat, cholesterol and meat specified limits for sodium. It's recommended that you combine those with veggies, whole grains and low sodium cheeses when chowing down. Add in at least 30 minutes a day of exercise and you will be doing your heart a favor.

So what are you waiting for? Liven up your taste buds today!

The incredibly talented, sexy adult film star James Deen and his PR rep (who is super nice BTW) granted me the following interview via email. I could not be more stoked. I am definitely a Deenager (though not a teenager) not only due to Deen’s acting skills but also his fantastic demeanor and self deprecating blog posts. James has appeared in over 900 porn flicks.

However he’s currently branching out into other areas as well. Mr. Deen is currently one of the producers on a very interesting new steampunk film being funded via Kickstarter. It’s called Cowboys & Engines. The cast includes Walter Koenig and Richard Hatch. The project is being helmed by Bryn Pryer, who is both the writer and director. Definitely check out the below Kickstarter video for the film and then go get involved.

There are so many awesome rewards that you can get for backing this movie. For instance for $20 you can get a digital download when the movie is completed (& more perks) or for $30 you can get that as well as a signed James Dee poster and a sticker from his store. There are so many more packages to choose from that it’s bananas. If you have mad dough pledge $500 and get a prop from the flick, be an extra in the movie for $1,250 or go out on a date with James Deen for 2K (& then let me know how it went as I’m super jealous, xd).

(This interview was conducted via email. James’ answers have not been altered in any way, they are in bold.)

You’re a producer on Cowboys & Engines, do you plan on producing more often in the future?

i have always loved producing. i am currently focusing most of my attention on cowboys and engines so it is hard to plan future career moves, but i would love the chance to produce more.

How instrumental were you in the casting of Cowboys & Engines?

i helped. nothing more. i try to make sure that the director is able to get the exact product they want. i personally think that movies are truly a directors medium. because of this my priority wasn’t what my feelings were about the actors, but what the directors. my job as a producer is to not think as an artist but as a business man.

What are your favorite westerns?

back to the future 2 🙂

How did you get into steampunk culture?

i first discovered steampunk on a porn set. they used the style to create a very dark and twisted vibe for the scene. i then started to research and find more of the world. i wouldn’t say i know anything about it, as i don’t want to offend the culture, but i do like the idea of using the aesthetics to accentuate and the ideas of turning fictional creations into reality.

According to the plot of Cowboys & Engines, the characters “Cade and Guinivere set off to save San Francisco from total destruction”. Are you excited about the alternate version of San Fransisco that will be presented in the film?

very much so. the way it is described in the script is pretty impressive and ambitious. it is one of the reason why we are trying to raise 100,000 on kickstarter. the more we have the more detailed we can create our world

Do you consider yourself a bit geeky?

i am nerdy more than geeky. i like gadgets and math and science and learning and the simpsons. the other people involved in the creative process are geeky. they like d&d and battle star galactica, star trek, etc etc. i always wanted to be a geek but i get too caught up in the how to get to the part where you actually get to do anything.

Have you ever attended a scifi convention?

I’ve already backed Cowboys & Engines but for someone who hasn’t, what is the key thing that you want to tell them to get on board?

do you like cool things? then give us a dollar… or 5 🙂

What was it like to work with Gus Van Sant in The Canyons?

it was awesome.

Aside from The Canyons, what is your favorite Lindsay Lohan movie?

i have never seen any lindsay lohan movies.

What directors would you like to work with in the future?

i heard a really cool story about peter weir firing dennis hopper on the first day of truman show because he didn’t read his script. i admire this. i really want to work for peter weir

If you could star in a remake of or sequel to any film, what would it be?

You starred in Batman XXX: A Porn Parody, what is your favorite mainstream Batman flick?

it will always be the first tim burton one with michael keaton and jack nicholson.
“I think I’m going to try to do a few more of these mainstream thingies”

Do you often stay in touch with actors whom you’ve worked with? (missemmamm note: I was referencing his adult work but didn’t know how to phrase the question correctly.)

i have only done one movie.

Many fans of 50 Shades of Grey would love to see you star in the film, if that occurred and you could choose your leading lady, who would it be?

that is tough. i don’t know. there are lots of good options. i would have to see who i had the best chemistry with and who could actually act the part opposed to look the part

Do you read erotica? (If so, what is your favorite sexy book?)

catcher in the rye 🙂

i don’t know if i am allowed to speak about this yet. pay attention to doc johnson this summer. there will be a large package of james deen surprises

Have you always been into BDSM?

since i first discovered what it was. it is like icing on top of a cake. doesn’t really taste good alone but combined with all the other elements, it makes it super pretty and delicious

In your films you always seem to be focused on getting the girl off, possibly more than you care about your own pleasure, do you agree?

yes and no. i enjoy watching girls cum. by focusing on them getting off it is doing just as much for me as it is for them.

You’re well endowed, has a costar ever found it intimidating?

well thank you…. i am now blushing and shy

How much fun has it been to shoot for Can you give me a scoop on any upcoming “Last Meals” that you will be eating?

hahahaha, is one of my favorite side hobbies. i love every day that we shoot. timothy mcveighs is coming up

What is the best advice that anyone has ever given you?

my dad has some REALLY good advice, especially when it comes to women and personal interactions with other people. there is too much to list, but pretty much everything the man says is gold.

Thanks again to the amazing James Deen for taking the time to answer my questions, which is just fantastic!

Xhilaration faux leather bomber jacket-Target, Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez sequin tank-Kmart, No nonsense jeggings-courtesy of No nonsense, Honor Bongo boots-Kmart

Last month was the premiere of my father’s TV ad. I wanted to look a bit nice but still casual. I also really wanted to wear some hot ass maroon boots but they have almost no traction and there was a shitload of snow on the ground. So, of course, I stuck with my trusty Kmart cowboy/motorcycle boots, instead.

The romantic drama movie trailer styled commercial is really growing on me.

Okay I was not at all familiar with Prabal Gurung until I started hearing about his Target collection. It’s just so fun and sweet though that I had to check it out. The theme of the collection is “Love”. So it made sense for them to release it yesterday since Valentine’s Day is coming up this week. The lovely use of florals in the collection scream Spring to me. However I don’t have any season specific print rules or anything. Okay, you are probably aware that I actually don’t adhere to any fashion rules.

After surveying the entire collection on I had to head to my local Target today even though according to the site’s online availability our store wouldn’t have much for sale. One tank top that I was interested was available so I went mainly for that. I was incredibly jazzed to find a great selection of items when I arrived.

I took my camera to take decent photos but then I had an issue with too much zoom while hastily trying to turn off the sound functions while in the dressing room. So, yay, another post with shaky camera phone photos! Oh well, at least you can see how the clothes hang on someone who isn’t a model.

For reference I am a size 10-12 or a large in most clothing and a C cup bra. Yes I know you can see my houndstooth print bra, I like the print and do not give a damn.

Long Sleeve Tee in Floral Crush Print

Yes, I absolutely love this Long Sleeve Tee in Floral Crush Print. It was the only item that I was able to purchase today. I simply had to have it. Not only is the print darling but it’s super comfy. It’s made of 60% cotton and 40% modal. I know that I will wear it often. Something this cute for $19.99 with a huge re-wear factor was a must.

This Pebble Racerback Tank Top ($19.99) spoke to me when I saw it online due to the color (Calypso Coral). I was not digging it on me once it was on. It is 100% rayon and 100% hot even while wearing it for a minute or two.

Both of the above tops fit larger than average. I tried them on in a large but they fit more like an XL. Judging by these and another top that I saw from the collection I would say that you could size down in most of these tops if you want a closer fit. My guess was that they are supposed to fit loose, that that’s how they are supposed to hang. However judging by the model photos maybe I’m wrong. However I did buy the floral top in a large because I am getting old (okay, not really, but sort of) and I’m leaning towards comfort lately. If the tank were made of another fabric and I found it flattering to my boobs then I would have sized down on that.

The black floral dress in Meet the Parents Print ($44.99) is amazing. I didn’t get it today because I’m not Miss Moneybags so I have to watch how I spend money when I do have it. In this case I most likely wouldn’t wear this that often. It’s so flattering though. It also seemed very well made. The zipper that ran up the back was impressive and the material really highlights my shape. It is made up of 98% cotton. I tried on the size 12. I would say that it’s true to size.

pb fl dr 2
The Short Sleeve Dress in First Date Print ($39.99) was not for me. I also tried this on in a 12. It’s 100% polyester and doesn’t seem to have any give. I couldn’t get the back all of the way up. It fit fine otherwise. Sometimes my boobs aren’t fashion friendly.

I’m also totally into the below pieces from this collection.

Floral Crush & First Date Picks from Prabal Gurung for Target

Yes, I’m crazy over the Floral Crush Print. The peplum top is cotton and spandex. My guess from trying on other pieces in the collection is that it’s most likely also flattering and true to size.

The Dress with Full Skirt in Floral Crush Print is cotton and spandex. It seems to be the same cut as the black and white dress above. If so I definitely think that it’s awesome.

The Sweatshirt in First Date Print is a super fun print. It’s cotton and polyester. My guess is that it’s also going to run a bit large.

I saw the Nolita Print pumps in person. They are way more striking right in front of you. Definitely my favorite shoe from the collection, by far.

The Sleeveless Tee in First Date print is cotton and model with a mesh neckline. I don’t really love this cut of top on me personally but I bet this top is soft and more comfortable than it looks.

If you enjoy sweet, feminine designs this collection is probably for you!
