Movie Review: Seven Psychopaths
5 out of 5

Seven Psychopaths is a comedic crime thriller written and directed by Martin McDonagh (In Bruges). The cast includes Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken and Tom Waits. To even lightly explain the plot is to rob you of the experience of the film. The simplest way to give you an idea of the chaos that ensues is to say that it involves a writer, psychopaths, dognapping and murder.

“I don’t have a drinking problem. I just like drinking.”-Marty
“Of course you do, Marty. One: You’re a writer. Two: You’re from Ireland. It’s part of your heritage. You’re fucked!”-Billy

Earlier this year I was finally able to watch the film. I didn’t really know what to expect going in, aside from a stellar cast. I thoroughly enjoyed it but was at a loss to write a review. I merely tweeted the below.
Luckily contributor Hot Donna caught the movie this week. She has decided to share her thoughts on it with us below.

Seven Psychopaths is Excellente! It makes me want to rewatch Matchstick Men and Choke. I love Sam Rockwell. He’s both hilarious and nuts. It’s the perfect black comedy with action and a fitting ending. Seven Psychopaths is the best movie I’ve seen in years. I laughed and was frightened at the same time.

Good review Donna. It’s a crazy movie, but always keeps you guessing, wondering, and feeling like it could and most likely, will, take you anywhere.
