RR3ed

To paraphrase Elizabeth Wurtzel, my past year has been one long emergency. This was a night during one of my many setbacks. At any rate, when I’m down, ya know I drink, drink hard, drink at the local hole in the wall, within walking distance, of course.

What happened that night? Booze, karaoke, the admiration of men who look like they stepped out of the 90’s but with tread on their tires.

The outfit is comfy yet sluttily daring, you’ve got the black men’s tee that’s long enough to not leave me fully exposed in my super low rise stripper-esque pants. Not really but they do zip all of the way around. If you owned those Frankie B. jeans back in the day then you will know what I’m talking about. Then I added my go to statement leopard boots. I just had to top it off with my Brian Kinney inspired cowrie shell bracelet, always appropriate when one is on the prowl.

I adore these boots, though they kill my feet (without inserts).

I recently received this candy cane style glass dildo in a holiday themed edition of The Fantasy Box. It’s not really my kind of toy. If it’s glass, then I’m really only interested if it’s g-spot specific, but it certainly is eye catching. My man finds it sexy in a Mrs. Claus sort of way.

Please check out the below banners to visit other bloggers and view this sensual photos and erotica.

Note: I’ve seen the sexy multiple meme done before (example), but if this isn’t okay, please feel free to let me know. Thanks. It seemed silly to break up the photos shot in the same set into different posts.

RTR NYE 3

Since many of you are fashion mavens I had to share this fab New Year’s Eve deal from Rent the Runway. Rent the Runway is a very cool service that lets you rent designer dresses/gowns from them for your special events for a fraction of the retail price. For instance, say you love a dress that retails for $400 but you could never just shell that out, well you could rent it for $50 for your birthday.

Right now they are doing an incredible sale. They have dresses at the super low price point of $20.14 per rental for New Year’s Eve (get it, it’s turning from 2013 to 2014, oh my!). They also have special $30.14 and $40.14 deals, which is super low for these styles.

RTR NYE 1

Okay, included in this post are my favorites. When it comes to designers you have the likes of Nicole Miller, Lela Rose, Kate Spade New York, Lilly Pulitzer, Badgley Mischka and Anna Sui. When it comes to fit you have body hugging or flowy and forgiving. Style wise you can be sexy or sweet. Some picks are more classic than daring, if that’s your bag. I’m a bit partial to the sparkly dresses myself.

(photos are clickable for a somewhat larger view)

Please be aware that other styles are available these are just my top picks for someone with my style preferences who wears my size dress (10-12). Make sure to browse the whole selection, especially if none of these pop out at you.

To sign up for Rent the Runway, feel free to use my referral link, here. When you do so you will get a $20 rental credit applied to your account (as will I, FYI).

For the best price I’d recommend signing up for their PRO membership first. ($29.99 per year, includes free insurance & shipping on all orders, plus a free birthday dress!). If you are not a PRO member you will still have to pay insurance and shipping on your super sweet $20.14 dress.

Now on to delivery times (for those of us outside of Manhattan). For standard shipping you need to order by 3PM ET Christmas, Wednesday, December 25, 2013. If you are okay with rush shipping fees you can wait until Thursday, December 26th. This is to get an extended rental. You choose 12/27 as your delivery date and 1/2 as your return date. If you are more of a last minute dame you can plan to receive your dress on 12/30 by ordering it by 3PM ET on 12/27 and choosing standard shipping.

Do you already have your NYE outfit picked out? If not, which of these would you go with?

Frankly, you can never have enough Marilyn Monroe. Or at least I can’t. Recently I’ve been coming across so many photos of Marilyn that are new to me that I just can’t let them disappear.

Ain’t Them Bodies Saints is yet another film that I only discovered through semi-frequent visits to videoeta.com. The main thing that drew me to the film was that it stars both Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara. I’ve been a fan of Affleck since To Die For. Mara made quite the impression on me with her recent portrayals in the US remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and then Side Effects. Shortly after the start of the movie, I also spotted Ben Foster. Score, I thought. He’s never failed to blow me away (in the past).

This romantic crime drama is set in the 1970’s in the West. It’s about a man who wants to be reunited with his family after being imprisoned. That is the sum total of what I knew going in. I didn’t even watch the trailer. If I had viewed it, I’d know everything there is to know about the flick. Affleck somewhat heroically goes to prison and starts serving a long ass sentence. While there he pines for his woman as their child starts to grow up. At an hour and a half this movie drags, painfully. I was so bored. I was ready to give up.

It seems that this movie was sold on the basis of nice cinematography and a decent amount of chemistry between Affleck and Mara. However, cinematography doesn’t make a movie for me if the movie is empty. That’s how this film felt, empty. Chemistry is also not that big of a selling point to me when the leads are spending the majority of the movie apart.

Aw shucks pretty lady, I'm such a good guy, but I'm as dull as paint and about as bright too.

I can’t believe that I’ve now finally seen a movie that has wasted Ben Foster. I mean wasted him. I’ve seen Casey Affleck wasted before (although he usually seems to punch up a flailing movie) but never Foster. I did not watch this alone. I watched it with someone who enjoys movies in this type of genre far more than I do and they felt almost the same amount of boredom. That’s bad news, folks.

So, I can not recommend this unless you are a super huge fan of Affleck, Foster or Mara and must see all of their work. I’d probably give this a lower score if it weren’t for the fact that Affleck really tried to get me to root for him in this.
