    December 8, 2011 by missemmamm

Everyone knows that male actors are chosen to star in superhero movies based on their intellect, talent, ability to appear menacing, ability to fill out a spandex jumpsuit. So let’s ogle, shall we?

Click any photo for the full size version. In some cases I used photos from the actual movie but not always. If I know what they are from I have mentioned that. I’ve included some upcoming superheroes, some villains and other related goodies.

Chris Evans-stars as Captain America/Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers (2012) and The Human Torch/Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Photos are from Captain America, a Fantastic Four movie and an earlier photo shoot.

  2. The Sexiest Celebrity Mugshots

    October 12, 2011 by missemmamm

    morrisonmugcollage

Anyone can have a mugshot taken but it takes mad skills to take a hot one. Especially since someone probably just pulled your hammered ass off of the ground.

    Photobucket

Earlier this year Nic Cage was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in New Orleans (drunk in New Orleans?, no way!). Apparently if you ask cops to arrest you they will oblige. I thought what a good mugshot. It’s sexy and he even thought to close his eyes. That way you can try to deny your state of mind later. Unless, they have a video, oops.

    Photobucket

This reminded me of the super hot mugshot of Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan last year. That one was for a DUI in Miami (where they shoot the show). This photo is not just dead sexy for a mugshot. It’s just hot in general. Plus he may have had a cold. What do most of us look like when we are drunkenly nursing a cold?

I started thinking that there must be a lot of these out there but when you read about celeb mugshots it’s usually just that same old photo of Nick Nolte looking goofy. Let’s focus on the positive here people.

Kiefer Sutherland – drunk driving. This was an odd decision.
50 Cent – felony drug charges. He had his girl hide his fcoke in her panties. Wait, you mean that’s not a good plan?
    Aidan Quinn – drunk driving
Al Pacino – concealed weapon (sounds like he may have been in a gang)
David Bowie – possesion of pot (they must have got him on a low key day for it not to have been cocaine)
Chace Crawford – possession of weed
Chris Tucker – speeding and then trying to elude the cops when they caught him
    Kurt Cobain – trespassing/possession
Macauley Culkin – possesion of pot, Xanax, prescription sleeping pills
    Matt Dillon – speeding
Donnie Wahlberg – arson. He lit a fire in a hotel room. So that’s how the New Kids on the Block partied.
Carmen Electra – fighting with Dennis Rodman
Foxy Brown – stealing makeup & then putting it on in the store’s bathroom
Edward Furlong – liberating lobsters while drunk
Billie Joe Armstrong – drunk driving
Mick Jagger – possession of narcotics
Shia LaBeouf – loitering at Walgreens (while drunk)
Lil Kim – possession of grass
Lindsay Lohan – It was difficult to choose just one. From when she served an hour and a half sentence
Michelle Rodriguez – breaking probation (by not doing community service and drinking)
Matthew McConaughey – possession of pot. Police were called due to a noise complaint. They found him loudly playing bongos, naked, while high.
Jim Morrison – public drunkeness at a football game. He was insulting football players, fuck yeah. Public obscenity, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest, as recreated in the movie The Doors.
Ozzy Osbourne – public intoxication. Surely they jest.
    Keanu Reeves – drunk driving
Christian Slater – trying to take a gun on a plane in his suitcase
    Vince Vaughn – bar fight
Woody Harrelson – dancing in the street drunk

  3. The Sexy Kyle Gallner

    September 27, 2011 by missemmamm

Click the thumbnails for the full size images. See Myspace is still occasionally useful for something.

Usually when I do one of these it’s not quite so transparent because the actor is further along in his career so I can mention his mad acting skills or awesome sense of humor. Kyle Gallner is still in the slutty young actress phase of his career though, which is super awesome. You know, when the casting director is told “we need someone young and hot who will take off their pants!”. So you’ve got a young actor running around half naked in horror movies and teen sex comedies? Yeah, I’m all about that.

I fell for Kyle in the winter of 2010. I had just seen the abominable A Nightmare On Elm Street remake and a few days later had decided to rewatch Jennifer’s Body. (I’m a big Megan Fox fan). As I was watching it I thought this emo kid’s pretty hot. Then it hit me, wasn’t that the Ritalin kid in Elm Street? I texted ChaCha who confirmed my suspicion. I didn’t really think too much about it because I’d assumed that he was younger than he is. (Yay, for being wrong, he’s almost 25.)

A few months ago I read about a movie called Cougars Inc and knew that I had to rent that ASAP when it was released. Then this month Kevin Smith released Red State on video on demand. So I’m firmly back in Kyle Gallner mode. Without giving too much away about Red State I must say that I’m sure that Kevin Smith wasn’t intending to get young women into S&M with it but according to tumblr that’s what’s happening. Love it!

If you want to watch Gallner run around in various states of undress you need to watch Cougars Inc and Cherry ASAP. Cougars Inc is one of those Risky Business type of flicks about teens who run a prostitution ring to service older women. Denise Richards and James Belushi costar. Cherry is about a nerdy guy who goes to college and then meets an older woman who has went back to college (hey, I see a pattern here) and gets tangled up in her life. He’s a “cherry” which means that he’s a virgin at the beginning of the movie. Aw.

I’m currently very excited to see Kyle’s upcoming film about an aspiring band, Losers Take All. Yes, he sings! Unfortunately it doesn’t have a release date yet.

  4. Shirtless Beefcakes of the 90s

    August 31, 2011 by missemmamm

This post is a part of 90s Month.

I didn’t just want to do a teen idols post because that’s been done a lot. Plus I had a lot of odd or not age appropriate crushes as a preteen/teen. So I chose guys who I found hot back in the 90s. Because I had decided on shirtless photos they had to have turned 18 by the end of the 90s. I also used photos from the 90s when available & applicable.

  5. Just Because: Judge Reinhold in Fast Times at Ridgemont High

    August 15, 2011 by missemmamm

So I just watched Vice Versa for the first time since I was a little kid (I thought of it after seeing The Change-Up) and it’s even funnier than I remember. Of course I spent the whole movie dying over Judge Reinhold’s facial expressions because he’s so good. then it occurred to me that I haven’t seen that much of Reinhold’s work but I freaking love him in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. So here’s a little celebration of Judge Reinhold as Brad Hamilton in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

  6. Music of the 90s: Alternative

    July 31, 2011 by missemmamm

This post is a part of 90s Month.

There were many different genres of music that were popular in the 90s but my all time favorite is alternative (or alternative rock). Much like disco music, which had a brief resurrection in the 90s, my favorite genre of music is dead, despite what Wikipedia says. They also list about a billion bands under this moniker, many of which I disagree with. However while putting together this playlist I figured out why. It’s a little trickier to define than I thought. It seems to have grown out of punk, goth, metal, ska and who knows what other genres. It’s also sometimes used interchangeably with grunge. Looking back, some bands straddled many genres or even just made 1 alternative album (ala the disco phenomenon).

Alternative just encompassed the slacker feeling of the 90s. Although alt rock is often considered depressing, it’s not the same as when you go through a goth or heavy metal phase (aka music to slit your wrists to), in that it’s not as depressed. I mean, it is, but you get a sort of a unifying feeling of everyone’s life sucks, not just yours, so get used to it.

I think for a while that we thought that alternative would come back, but then the good radio stations either folded or switched to pop or whatever this easy listening rock that is out now is called, it became apparent that Gavin Rossdale really was just a stay at home daddy (who occasionally pops up to sing ballads, ballads, ballads, sorry, it’s still horrifying) and even Eddie Vedder (who I was never crazy about or anything) decided that ukuleles were cool.

But let’s ignore that and just listen to this playlist of tunes, shall we?
