I’ve recently decided to join Blogads. I think that Blogads will be a great way to further monetize my blog because they are easy for both myself (the publisher) and advertisers who are buying an ad, to use. Features that Blogads offer include the ability to choose your own prices, decide what ads you will accept, design your own media kit landing page and great customer service.

There are also great reasons that advertisers choose to buy ads using Blogads. they include matching advertisers with the blogs that will best suit their customers, a wide range of ad types and a do it yourself system. Blogads easily allows advertisers to order advertising in only three clicks.

To place your ad on visit my Blogads page here. I’m offering a great special this month. You can buy any ad size for 1/2 price for the first month. This means that you can get a full month of ad space using a button size ad for only $30 (regularly $60)! If you want the medium size ad space (only 1 is available per month) you can go here. With this sale you will only pay $2.50 per day or $75 for the month (regularly $150). If you are interested in our largest ad (again only one is available per month), go here. This ad will cost you only $105 for the first month (regularly $210). Use the special code first to get this deal. Wow!

To get an idea of the size of these ads I’ve included some for in the sizes available:

This is the 125X125 size button ad, 16 of these are available & you can post yours this month for only $30!

This is the 300X250 medium size ad that you can get this month for $75. Only 1 is available.

This is a 300X600 size ad. It's the largest size available. This month it's only $105. There is one available.

Aside from the last ad these were created by Brandi Weeks of Digital Art Corner and Crystalline Dreams. She’s a great artist so contact her if you need a banner created. is my pop culture blog which averages over 20,000 pageviews per month and is viewed in 170 countries. The highest concentration of my readers in the US are in California, Texas, New York, Florida and Pennsylvania. The average age of visitors to my site is 25-34.

I write about many topics, which are included by not limited to, film, fashion, music, books and food. I am ramping up my post quantity and I currently usually post between 4-6 new posts per week. You guys need to check out clipix . It’s a cool, free tool that you can use to organize stuff online. You can clip anything from a site and then have access to it later when you want to check it out.

Clipix is so simple to use. You just drag the “Clip” button to your bookmarks bar. Then when you see something awesome hit “Clip” and save it to a clipboard. You can create clipboards any time you need to. You don’t have to be on the Clipix site. So if a picture that you see inspires you then you can create a new clipboard right away.

Great features of Clipix include Syncboards (which let you clip in a group in real time), Multiboards (to organize your clipboards by category) and the forthcoming iPhone app so you can clip on the go.

There are so many different ways that you can use Clipix. For instance, you could keep track of places you’d like to visit (ala my Vacation idea board, above), use it as a wish list for yourself or family, tasty restaurants you’d like to try, books, movies or music you want to check out, party planning ideas, planning a wedding, videos that you want to watch later, remodeling your home or yummy recipes that you want to try.

You don’t have to worry about your privacy with Clipix because they let you choose who you’d like to share your clips with. Making them private is also a great way to keep a list of gifts for an upcoming birthday secret.

To stay up to date with new happenings on Clipix I liked Clipix on Facebook and followed Clipix on twitter. I suggest that you do the same.

So, what will you Clip today?

This post brought to you by dealnews. All opinions are 100% mine.

dealnews is a cool site that goes through the net to bring you the hottest deals. They check over 2,000 online retailers and tens of thousands of deals every day and then share the top 200+ deals. Now that’s a time saver. They make sure each deal is valid, from a reputable retailer and at the lowest total price. It’s like getting Black Friday type deals every day.

dealnews has a variety of deals from so many different categories. My favorite deals are the electronics deals and the clothing deals

Today I was wondering who had a deal on a smaller amount of digital prints. I often buy them in bulk but only need some today. It turns out that CVS has 25 4X6″ digital prints for free when you register. Walmart also has a free photo special going on. I would have missed these if it weren’t for dealnews.

You know that I love movies, well dealnews also mentions a free $5 Amazon Instant Video credit with device registration. So fun.

It’s also no secret that I have a thing for shoes. dealnews has info on a comfy looking pair of Skechers Women’s Keepsakes Boots in their clothing deals. These boots come in a variety of sizes and colors.

In the future I (and you) can keep up to date with deals in our favorite categories with the dealnews Select Newsletter and email notifications (for specific categories, stores or items). I’m going to sign up now.

This musical video from dealnews is also fun.

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

I totally need to share this with you folks. Right now you can join the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club  for only $20 for an individual plan or $35 for a family membership. A family membership includes your immediate family including dependents 22 years of age and younger, your spouse and even pets.

When you join the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club you get access to a ton of super neat discounts. For instance, you can save on over 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications.

Other discounts include savings on diabetic supplies, nebulizers, flu shots and pet prescriptions. You also earn bonuses when you buy photofinishing services and Walgreens brand products. Walgreens brand products are great because you save money but still get the same quality as brand name items.

Walgreens photos are of great quality and are a great price. Mine have always been ready on time (usually they are actually ready early, so great!). Plus they often have specials sales on prints and photo gifts.

So I recommend checking out the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club today to save big. I spend my savings on shoes, xd.

Enter The Dragon!(source: besar bears)

So I must admit that I didn’t know much about the Chinese New Year prior to writing this. However I do love Chinese food so one year I was able to visit a Chinese restaurant on the day of the Chinese New Year. It was awesome. They had so many wonderful decorations. Unfortunately places around here no longer do that. So I thought I’d have some Chinese New Year fun online.

Gong Xi Fa Chai ~ Happy Chinese New Year(source: prayitno)

The Chinese New Year is the Spring Festival. On Chinese New Year’s Eve families gather for an annual reunion dinner. After dinner they use firecrackers. Chinese New Year traditions include cleaning and decorating your house prior to the holiday and giving each other presents on the day of. Families often dress in new red clothing. This means that you will have more than enough to wear and use in the new year.

2012 is the Year of the Dragon. The dragon is considered much revered. The dragon was considered a king because he was made up of parts of other animals like an eagle, snake, tiger and fish.

Lion Dancers(source: Loren Javier)

The year of the dragon is the fifth in the Chinese zodiac cycle. It follows the rabbit and happens every 12 years. Previous years of the dragon include 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988 and 2000. If you were born in the year of the dragon you are considered to be wise, innovative, brave and powerful. You are also considered to be sarcastic and short tempered. Dragons are often solitary.

Many believe that loud drumming and cymbals combined with the face of a dragon or lion dancing aggressively can get rid of evil spirits.
