Enchanted Bikinis is a faniciful, new swimwear line by designer Sina. Sina is a French designer who has been inspired by fairy tales. She wants women to be able to feel like a princess while wearing her bikinis. She does have a fairly lofty goal of $24,800 with less than a month to complete. So, we need to get on this now. Watch her above video about how she came up with the idea, her families wonderfully positive influence and the quality of her garments.

Obviously, as a Disney nut, I’m super jazzed bout these bikinis. Now, there are mass produced fairy tale inspired bikinis out now. However, these promise to be made in America, on a much small scale, and of amazing quality.

BTW-if you aren’t familiar with Kickstarter. It’s practically the grandaddy of crowdfunding. That’s when all of us out there make each other’s artistic dreams come true. I haven’t donated to any fashion based Kickstarter’s in a while and this one is definitely a must.

There are a ton of really cool backer rewards available. Backer rewards are what you receive in exchange for your donation to a Kickstarter project. For just $15, you can receive adorable sandals, for $25 a tote, for $35 a beach dress, or for $60 all of the above.

Now what about the bikinis? Well, $100 donation gets you one bikini, $250 gets you 3 of the 5 bikini styles and $450 gets you all 5 bikinis plus the sandals, dress, and tote.

If you decide to donate and choose a bikini, the sizes are limited to S-XL (A-DD), but I bet if the company takes off her range will improve. Since not everyone matches on the top and bottom, you do get a choice to mix and match sizes.

What styles are the bikinis themselves?

Golden Rivers (a very Pocahontas style)

april box

Please watch my above unboxing video. In addition, you can check out the below photos, links and additional info. This month’s box was quite spectacular.

Note: Some links are Amazon affiliate links. If your cookies are cleared and you make a purchase after clicking through, then a small commission will be yielded for this site.

fantasy mag
Loot Crate April 2015 Fantasy Pin
approximately $1
Yes, that value is made up, but I just feel that based on my experience this pinbacks are usually priced around there. This is a neat addition to the set of Loot Crate pins I’m slowly starting to collect.

me dnd tee
Dungeons & Dragons T-Shirt
from dndmerch.com
approximately $12
This particular tee was manufactured by the company Wizards of the Coast. They have many Dungeons & Dragons tees for sale here, starting at $14.95. Their Zazzle store doesn’t feature the exact tee in this box though. I’m going to base the price off of dndmerch.com’s site since theirs is more accurate to the design.

dragon tie
Red & Gold Dragon Bow Tie
from Black Tie Geek
approximate value $14
Their site isn’t up yet. A tie by them that was previously featured in a Loot Crate goes for around $14 on Amazon. This is fun. Not a frequently wearable item, but cool for every once in a while.

crown
Inflateable Crown
from Loot Crate Labs
approximately $1
I’m basing the above price on buying a dozen from Amazon. This is silly and would be fun to wear around at a renaissance festival or house party when you get in your cups.

princess bride cards
The Princess Bride Playing Cards
from Albino Dragon
$14.99
The main characters from the film are prominently illustrated on this set. I don’t think a deck of cards should cost almost $15, but if you were going to buy this anyway, then these are basically almost equal to the price of the entire box. They are very nice cards though. I just wouldn’t personally pay more than $10 for them.

potter tag
Harry Potter 9 3/4 Bag Tag
from Bioworld
$11.76
In the video, I said this would probably sell for around $10, I was so close. This is a very nice, large PVC luggage tag. I’m not even a Potterhead and I appreciate how well made it is. Definitely worth the retail price.

got usb
Game of Thrones Stark Sigil USB Drive
from CustomUSB
approximately $17
This is a 4GB drive. It was manufactured exclusively for Loot Crate. The shinier 8GB drive that is from the same company retails for about $34, so I’m giving this one a value of half of that price. In the video above, I mention that USB drives typically go for around $8-$12 around here. However, this is a themed drive, so it would cost more. This is one of my favorite items in the box!

got magnets
Game of Thrones House Sigil Magnet Set
from Dark Horse
approximately $9.99
The above GOT magnet set is very similar to this one, but includes 3 more magnets. My guess at a price of these in the video was $6, so if you factor in the extra magnets in the set above, I’m probably pretty spot on. I’m going to leave it at $9.99 though, because this particular set isn’t currently listed online. I really like these. I’m not super into magnets at this point in my life, but they are definitely fun. You can’t go wrong with anything Game of Thrones related when it comes to me.

Actual Price
$19.95

Approximate Retail Value
$81.74

I’d definitely recommend this month’s Loot Crate. Everything was up my alley. It’s a great monetary value and a great value for me because I actually like the items.

Oscars Fantasy

When I saw the newest IFB Project, Create Your Red Carpet Look, I knew that I had to participate. When I was about 12 I wanted to be an actress. This had nothing at all to do with realizing that acting was a real job and some lucky women were getting paid to make out with Keanu Reeves.

contributing to a generation of women who will totally marry a poor guy who passes out chocolate rings...as long as he's super hot

Wait, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, so when I was a girl and was given a beautiful dress I had visions of myself wearing it to the Oscars. In retrospect it was just a rayon dress that probably didn’t cost the original owner over $30 or $40 but to me it was a dream.

I thought of it as my Oriental Oscars Dress. Yes, Oriental was often tossed around as a fashion and beauty term for something exotic. It was a slinky gold dress with a cross front halter neckline (the halter crosses in front of the neck and around the back) and an Asian print. It didn’t flatter me at all (I have decent sized boobs) and I had nowhere to wear it but I still envision that if I were involved in the Oscars that’s what I’d wear. I’d have it custom made. It’s incredibly difficult to find a dress like this online to show you what I mean but the one below is the closest.

Of course since I’d be a nominee in this scenario brands would be throwing gorgeous, expensive pieces at me hoping that I’d incorporate them into my look. So I added these interesting pumps, a faux fur wrap, some vintage style hair combs (I’d definitely wear my unruly hair up), a bright shell bag and some expensive, coordinating earrings, a bracelet and rings. I’d pass on a necklace because of the gown’s neckline.
