I recently watched the movie Just Go With It because I hate myself. It was actually worse than I anticipated. Someone asked me “Why did you watch it if you knew you would hate it?”. I blame DirecTV because when a movie is released they will advertise the shit out of it until you are brain washed into watching it. That is also why I watched Hall Pass. Yeah…

Just Go With It stars Adam Sandler as a man who pretends to be married to pick up chicks. When one wants proof of this he enlists Jennifer Aniston to play his soon to be ex-wife. Hilarity does not ensue despite other actors that I enjoy such as Nick Swardson and Nicole Kidman.

The movie is awful but I loved some of the outfits shown in it. I had to jump right online while watching (and I’m sure that I didn’t miss anything important) to find out who Aniston’s mesh coverup dress was by. It is the Anna Kosturova Marissa tennis dress which you can see in the collage below with many similar, cheaper alternatives. I haven’t been into these in a while but now I’m keeping my eye out for one that I want to pick up.

Plus Reel Clothes recently sold this dress that Nicole Kidman sported via their eBay auctions. It was a silk, Versace dress.

floral dress-Liberty of London for Target, Lower Eastside butterfly cowboy boots-Payless, faux leather brown bomber jacket-Dots, Jaclyn Smith sunhat-Kmart, wide woven belt-Walmart

If you’ve been reading my tweets then you probably know that my mind is already in the Southwest and that I’ve been wanting to wear floral dresses and cowboy boots. They might even become my new uniform. Right now I only have these cowboy boots that I bought a few years ago when the butterfly look was in style. I’ve barely worn them because there never really seems to be an appropriate time. So, uh screw that, I guess that time is now. I paired them with this Liberty of London For Target dress that I picked up on sale last summer. I wanted one as soon I saw the collection in the store but didn’t want to shell out $30 since I wasn’t sure I’d ever get around to wearing it. A couple of weeks later they dropped to $20 but I was hoping for $15 or less so I figured I was out of luck. Then about a month after that I noticed that one was left on the clearance rack and it was $7 so I grabbed that baby up. It’s in my usual size but these run large so even though I hate belts, I tied the waist as tight as possible and slapped one on so I’d have shape.

I wanted to pick up a sunhat last summer but didn’t get around to it. I looked for one at Target recently but came up short so I went out for breakfast hatless. Luckily afterward I stopped at Kmart for some shoe insoles and saw that they had a bunch of hats on sale. I picked up a sunhat and a cowgirl hat. There aren’t any pictures of me in the cowgirl hat because the weather here is so insane that the 1st half of my pictures came out so brightly overexposed that I couldn’t salvage them. Then the sun moved and the rest were a little too dark but luckily I was able to tweak those. I definitely plan on picking up some more cowboy boots for this summer, most will probably be of the ankle bootie variety though.

And yes, that brown bomber jacket is very similar to the black one that I wear ad nauseum. I love that style. I have another in teal.

I spotted this in the bathroom at the restaurant & thought it was neat.

I look mad because she had trouble with my camera phone.

Yes, these pics are super old. They are from last fall but literally the day I went to post them (which was within a week of taking them) it was already frigid outside so I felt stupid about posting them then. Since it’s now finally starting to warm up I figured they would be Spring appropriate.

Last year I saw a trailer for Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Roberts and thought that it looked awesome. I thought it might be the type of inspiring travel film that Under the Tuscan Sun is. Since it was based on a book I ran out and bought the book. However I was not impressed by it. I feel that Elizabeth Gilbert doesn’t really come off as likable or ahem, human, as I’d expected.

Since I’d hyped it in my head I still wanted to go watch the movie even though the book didn’t live up to my expectations. The film is actually very true to the book, which isn’t a good thing to me. Roberts has always seemed to have that closed off thing down so she’s actually perfect to play Gilbert. I was immensely disappointed by the film not showcasing more locations. It was shot on location in Italy but ignored the vistas.

I made a day out of going. I talked my mother into going with me even though she’s not a movie person. I wore a really cute floral, bubble hem dress that I’d bought the week before from Burlington Coat Factory. Plus I figured since it was an eating movie we’d go eat after but the (now defunct) pizza buffet was only open for lunch, so we ate first. That day was the best service we ever got at that place too. Then we watched the flick. Afterward we hit up Burlington Coat Factory. I was hoping to find another really cute dress but none of them really appealed to me even though they were very colorful.

It was a nice day even though the movie wasn’t what I’d hoped for. P.S. My sister loves the film though so I guess it’s up some people’s alleys. Also Under the Tuscan Sun is also based on a book but I haven’t been able to get through it because it is way different from the film.
